Please mister postman
Please Mister Postman, look and see
(Oh yeah)
If there’s a letter in your bag for me…
… ahem …
Ok, so I just ordered the longer FFCs and couplers from DIY-beamer.com – they’re in Austria and I’m all the way over the other side of the Atlantic: I might have been able to get what I need cheaper and more locally, but they have PICTURES instead of cryptic part numbers so at least I know I’m getting the right thing. Hopefully the postman will deliver them in a week or two.
Anyway, I digress, that’s not why I’m writing this post. DIY-beamer must’ve known exactly what I’m doing because yesterday they brought down their website for maintenance. Today, when it came up, right there on the very first page was a relatively inexpensive LVDS controller (99 EUR) that can control a 15.4 WUXGA Samsung LCD, up to a whopping resolution of 1920×1200. This makes my intended 1024×768 LCD hide with embarassment.
Damn you DIY-beamer, I’m already designing the Wapaq2 in my head! Or should that be Wasung?
