PhotoRescue to the rescue
I recently had an 8GB Compact Flash card lose approximately 2GB worth of photos before I was able to download them.
I tried a number of different tools to try and recover them before stumbling over PhotoRescue 3 from www.datarescue.com.
Not only did the software recover all the lost files, but also was able to recover files that were supposedly deleted 3 or 4 “formats” ago.
I’d definitely recommend this software. Works on Mac too.
